Communication. For many of us, it’s what we do, it’s who we are… As real estate agents, most of us agree that communication is very important to the success of our business.

When people hear the word Google, they often think of search, right? Heck, Google has become a verb. I mean, who hasn’t wanted to learn about a subject and typed it in to the world’s most popular search engine?

Just for fun, I want you to forget about Google as a search tool or as an awesome social platform for content marketers and think about it as a communication tool. A tool that can help you communicate with customers and clients in ways that many real estate agents are not doing. For now, I’m just going to mention a few ways for you to use free tools that might make your life easier and more efficient.

1. Google+ – You really should check out Google+ as a communication tool. Easily share photos or video from your phone, free video conferencing and SO much more. Some think of Google+ as a social network, I look at it as a powerful communication tool.

2. Google Voice – This one has been around for a while but it is worth repeating. Google Voice is awesome and is a FREE voice mail, texting and communication tool that can be very handy for real estate agents.

3. Google Drive – Google Docs is built right into Google Drive, so you can work together in real time on documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Your documents are available from wherever you are. The real time editing and sharing with others can be a HUGE time saver.

The three very brief examples above will be discussed in much more detail along with many of the other Google tools at the upcoming 2013 Spring Convention. Come learn more ways that successful agents are using Google as a communication tool to help their business run more efficiently, more effectively and more profitably.

Over the past few months, I’ve become a huge fan of Google+ and of many of the tools that work so well with it. I’ve added family and friends, asked customers and clients to use it and just tried to learn more about this communication tool. Please feel free to add me as a Google+ contact. I’d love to hear from you, too!
