The REach Class of 2014 Forum at the recent NAR Conference and Expo introduced eight interesting technology companies who have tailored their products specifically for REALTORS®. Two companies caught our eye and a link for the others is provided below.

SmartZip Analytics (www.smartzip.com) has created a predictive marketing system which predicts when a homeowner is likely to move. They look at data such as homeowners who have stayed in their home longer than average, plus having high equity, plus being at a particular life change-point and having just bought 20 gallons of interior paint—all signs of readiness to sell.

The company then provides “air cover” to support marketing efforts (including targeted web and social media). The intent is to locate prospective sellers and gradually place your brand in front of them with repeated contacts over a variety of channels. The quoted price range is $500 to $1,000/month depending on price-point of area homes, size of the area, and amount of marketing you do.

SendHub (www.sendhub.com) is an integrated, cloud-based phone service which brings the features of business phone systems to brokers, teams and individual agents. This is a really interesting integrated phone/texting system which provides intelligent routing by juggling many different cell and land-based phone numbers.

REach is an effort by Second Century Ventures, NAR’s venture capital investment arm, with the goal of advancing technology in the real estate space by providing advice and access to practitioners and key industry decision makers for input in refining their products.
