On August 14, 2015, the Arizona REALTORS® Disaster Assistance Foundation (ARDAF) responded to a request from the Emergency Management Division of Mohave County Development Services.

“Sharon March, association executive at the Bullhead City/Mohave Valley Association of REALTORS® was approached about helping fire evacuees,” said Michelle Lind, CEO of the Arizona Association of REALTORS®. “ARDAF responded with a $1,000 donation to the Bullhead City Salvation Army.”

Between the time the fire started on July 25 and was 100 percent contained on August 15, around 6,000 acres were burned as the fire spread from Needles, California into northwest Arizona. An estimated $18.3 million was spent to fight the fire that allegedly started from a boy playing with a lighter.

In 2013, ARDAF donated $5,000 to benefit the families of 19 fallen Yarnell Hill firefighters.

Since 2002, ARDAF and the Arizona Association of REALTORS® have donated $55,000 in response to a variety of disasters including relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
