Arizona’s inaugural RAPAC (REALTORS® of Arizona Political Action Committee) Rally Ride and Poker Run kick-started with a registration and social sponsored by Pinnacle Capital Mortgage and First American Title at the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS®. More than 36 riders and drivers rode in the two-day event.

On Sept. 28, motorcycles, convertibles and classic cars converged at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale for a light breakfast courtesy of VIP Mortgage. Many of the RAPAC major investors were sporting temporary tattoos from the social and buying last minute supplies including – dare I say it? Anti-friction powder.

The weather on Day One was beautiful! We rode from Scottsdale to Wickenburg, then Wickenburg to the Yarnell Hill Fire Memorial Park to pay our respects. CNN Mortgage bought our lunch in Prescott at the Far From Folsom Restaurant, then it was on to Cottonwood.

After nearly 200 miles on the road, we ended Day One with an authentic chuck wagon supper and stage show at the Blazin’ M Ranch off of Mabery Ranch Rd. where we were joined by – wait for it, 2012 AAR President Holly Mabery. That’s right, the Blazin’ M(abery) Ranch was started by her granddaddy!

Following the show, Wallick & Volk treated us to old-time photos with period costumes and props! Then it was time to hit the bunk house or as we called it, the Best Western Cottonwood Inn.

Day Two started with a short ride to Sedona for breakfast sponsored by Realty ONE Group Mountain Desert. Bellies full, we headed for Flagstaff, then on to Payson and lunch courtesy of Peoples Mortgage Company. After grabbing some gas, we departed for Fountain Hills and a group picture at Fountain Park.

We traveled about 230 miles for a grand total of 427 miles. Some of us got wet, but the rain never dampened our spirits. Special thanks to our Utah family, 2016 Region 11 RVP Kenny Parcell, Washington County Board AE Vardell Curtis, 2016 Utah Association of REALTORS® President Chris Nichols, Past UAR President Chris Sloan, REALTOR® Mike Visser and REALTOR®/Appraiser Craig Morley.

Maybe you’d like to become a RAPAC major investor and ride with us next year!
