During the installation dinner at the Arizona Association of REALTORS® Leadership Conference on October 13, 2016 President Paula Serven passed the gavel to 2017 President Paula Monthofer, ABR, GRI, ePRO.

If you’re not familiar with “Paula M.” as she is affectionately called, then you’re in for a treat when she officially takes the reins on December 1.

In addition to being a Federal Political Coordinator for NAR and serving on two of AAR’s contract revision committees, Monthofer chaired the REALTOR® Safety and GRI Workgroups, Spring Convention 2013 and Professional & Business Development Committee.

She was president of the Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® and received NAAR’s President’s Award in 2014. That same year, she was appointed treasurer of the state association and recognized by the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce as its Young Athena Winner.

A REALTOR® with Realty One Group, Mountain Desert in Flagstaff, co-creator of reLaunch Conferences AND owner/instructor of the Focus School of Real Estate, Monthofer demonstrates a passion for empowering people to go to the next level, as many of her students will attest.

Carol Ann Teague, ABR, GRI said she “learned things that other instructors in the same subject had not been able to get through to me.” Broker Associate Marilyn Mount, ABR,CRS, GRI described Monthofer as “a fabulous mentor and teacher” with “a passion for life” that’s infectious.

Before graduating with a Bachelors Degree in History from Rutgers College, Monthofer worked to preserve the oral history of Rutgers World War II veterans in the National Archive. “She befriended people four times her age and made them feel comfortable and inspired,” said former classmate Carmen Godwin.

Monthofer moved from New Jersey to Arizona in 2001 and began her real estate career with RE/MAX.
