AAR Contract Forms Separate REALTORS® from FSBOs, Licensees
One of the most valuable benefits of being an Arizona REALTOR® is access to standard contract forms like the Residential Resale Real Estate Purchase Contract. The most likely place for you to find these forms is within your zipForm® forms program, but you might find them in other places including:
- From a non-member, often disguised by missing logos or wording changes
- For purchase from generic electronic forms websites
- On another REALTOR®’s website without being marked SAMPLE
- As blank forms printed out in your own office, or
- On your broker’s internal network
These uses, and more, are not only prohibited by federal copyright law, they are just a bad idea. Many hours go into creating and updating AAR forms to ensure they comply with current laws and are fairly balanced between buyers and sellers. Any changes whatsoever to the forms can put you or and your clients at risk.
This is why Arizona REALTORS® vigorously enforces its forms copyrights—it is our mission to make sure that only the most up-to-date and accurate real estate contract forms are used in Arizona.
If you find blank AAR blank forms on a broker’s REALTOR’S® website, in the public domain, on the table in a library or being used without a REALTOR’S® assistance, please let us know. We’re protecting one of the most valuable assets you have as an Arizona REALTOR®!
