Second-Annual RAPAC Rally Ride an Incredible Success

Motorcycles roared to life, as 35 RAPAC Rally Riders formed a line of bikes and convertibles left the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® offices under clear blue skies on the morning of October 5, 2017.

Food and fun was the theme of the day with riders passing by the McDowell Mountains on their way to The Roadhouse in Cave Creek for breakfast. This biker-themed joint was a great place for the riders to relax and get to know each other, as RAPAC Major Investors were joined by members of the Blue Knights.

With bikes and the riders fueled, the journey went up and up as the route climbed out of the Valley and on to the next stop — Alcantara Vineyards in Cottonwood for a light lunch and a tour from the winemaker.

It was time for the red rocks of Sedona, so the group traveled to Arizona 89A. The ride was breathtaking as incredible rock formations rose to the sky in majestic fashion, a true testament to Arizona’s beauty.

Rally Riders pulled into Flagstaff where everyone would spend the night, but the fun wasn’t over. Steak, ribs, barbecue chicken, grilled salmon and a musical show were served at Black Bart’s Steakhouse and Saloon during dinner sponsored by Findlay Toyota of Flagstaff.

Paula Mothofer, Arizona REALTORS® 2017 President and Flagstaff resident, invited the adventurous to join her for an after-dinner drive to the painted desert and explore the free-standing ruins of Wukoki Pueblo.

The next morning began with an early breakfast at the Little America Hotel, sponsored by Prime Lending in Flagstaff. Rally Riders then hopped onto I-40 for Winslow, where they had photos taken by the famous bronze statue on this symbolic corner.

The Rally Ride picked up and moved on to Holbrook, before turning south on 77 to make their way to Show Low. Once there, the ride paused for a fun Mexican lunch at Licano’s, which was sponsored by the Pioneer Title Agency from nearby Pinetop.

Leaving Show Low took the riders on to the gorgeous Salt River area. From the Salt River Canyon, there were only 132 miles left of the 575-mile round trip. As the caravan made its way through Globe and into Gold Canyon, the sky began to turn into a beautiful display that lit up the Superstition Mountains.
