The Privilege of Serving as Your 2017 President

When I was first elected Arizona REALTORS® treasurer, my mindset shifted.

I would spy a random real estate sign and think, “Hey, Annie Random REALTOR®! You don’t know me and I may never meet you, but today I am going to do all I can to make your business better.”

The privilege of serving as your 2017 president afforded me a view few have and I would like to share with you what I saw that you might not get to see.

I saw just how unbelievably hard our volunteers work. Our volunteer members’ passion and integrity of thought are the backbone of our industry and every transaction in our state.

I saw our talented staff staying late, arriving early – even giving generously of their personal time for any and all of us. I see their genuine delight when our members let them know how much their work betters our businesses.

I saw those dedicated volunteers and staff advance our industry on very front; from multiple legislative victories to multiple form releases, from our highest attended State conference to a strong focus on member engagement via video. Arizona REALTORS® volunteers and staff can be very proud of all the work they accomplished this year.

Finally, I saw, in my last look back, the stars who walked this path with me and will take my place – Lori Doerfler, Patrick Lewis, Mary Roberts, Jan Leighton and our visionary CEO Michelle Lind.

Now I can’t help but think, “Hey, Annie Random REALTOR®! You don’t know them and they may never meet you, but today these leaders are going to do all they can to make your business better…and I am going to do all I can to support them.”
