Arizona Case Addresses Whether a Broker has a Right to Sue for a Commission When the Broker Violated an ADRE Consent Order
In the recent case of Focus Point Properties, LLC/Kantor v. Johnson/Oak Acres Trust, No 1CA-CV 12-0766 (Ariz. Ct. App. June 6, 2014) the Arizona Court of Appeals addressed whether a broker had the right to maintain a lawsuit for a real estate commission when the broker violated Arizona law by not timely disclosing to the ADRE that he violated a prior consent order. The Court determined that the violation did not preclude the commission claim.
Arizona Association of REALTORS® Releases 2014 Endorsements for Legislature
The Arizona Association of REALTORS®, which represents more than 40,000 real estate professionals, today released its 2014 primary election endorsements for the Arizona Senate and House of Representatives.
REALTOR® Caucus 2014
On Friday, September 12, 2014, Arizona’s most politically active REALTOR® members will meet at the Scottsdale Chaparral Suites for the annual REALTOR® Caucus to help provide the Arizona REALTORS® with input on current issues affecting the real estate industry as well as to discuss recommendations for possible legislative or regulatory actions in the coming legislative session.

Is your smoke alarm up to code?
The Phoenix Fire Code provides that a residential homeowner may utilize a battery operated smoke alarm in their home. However, a recent amendment (ordinance G-5898-2014; effective April 18, 2014), provides that battery operated smoke alarms must be replaced with a UL listed smoke alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium battery.
